On September 7, 2017, Debby Engelhardt and her husband had four fantastic animals, two golden retrievers named Colby and Zack, and two cats named Monkey King and Captain Jack.

By April 5, 2018, all four had crossed Over the Rainbow Bridge. Debby’s world was turned upside down in fewer than seven months.

Debby started journaling as therapy to recover from her loss and a new journey began. Her journals transformed into this book, because somewhere, out there, is someone who needs the comfort of hope.

Debby felt her experience opened a window to a wonderful world where our beloved companions are waiting to be reunited with their people. To complete her journey, Debby attended art classes to illustrate her book and draw what she imagined our animals are doing in their new world.

Her hope is that you will find the same peace reading this book as she found writing it.

This is Debby’s first book but will not be her last. Debby’s background is in bookkeeping but she found a new love in writing and illustrating. Debby lives in Texas and spends her free time traveling and enjoying life with her husband Dave.
